I imported an image (BMP) to a drafting view. It shows up fine on the screen, but when I print it, it is just a blank. Can't figure out why I can't print it. I am using Version 9 build 9 - 20060328_2300.

Thanks

Max,

First thing, check the printer settings.
Also maybe change the image to a jpg type.
Might help

Try checking the raster processing in the plot setup dialog box

I tried printint the jpg using raster processing, but it still did not print the jpg. It also did not print the black and whit details on the sheet. I am using an HP Design Jet 1055CM. Anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks

Hi there,

does it appear on the print preview? I have had an issue before when I have 'flipped' an image within revit. It looks fine on screen, but does not print. If I remember correctly, it didn't appear on the print preview though.

That was using v8.0, so I would have guessed that this is fixed now? Anyhow, if that is what you are doing, then use photoshop to flip it first, then re-import.

Max.

Have you tried printing a PDF and then just printing the PDF. Might help you until you can sort this out.

Ran into this same problem today. I finally figured out that the layer I had my image on was selected to "not plot" in the layer manager. Maybe your issue is/was as simple as this.

We've just had the same problem... played with all sorts of settings and the magic one was to change the print setting to "medium raster quality"
