Hi All
Has anyone developed a strategy to manage keynotes using excel? or access for that matter.

Not that I know of. It would have been nice if they'd used XML for the keynote file (which it would be ideal for) - and then we could just write a schema and start editing, but no they had to go and be all proprietry :(

Create your keynote in Excel then save as an txt file. Easier to manipulate in Excel but the txt file wrks great and can be modified by everyone. Not true for XML

Note that your excel file should have all cells formatted as text - otherwise you lose leading zeros when saving out to a text file, and some of the xxxxx.e1 values get turned into exponentials.

Thax for the reply, my next question would be, Is this the best way to manage keynotes, what are you and others doing out there?

Ooops, I completely managed to ignore the fact that the values in the keynote file are tab delimited - therefore excel can read them perfectly
It would still be nice if theres was interface functionality to the keynotes though...
