I have switched companies this year and the new company is interested in advancing their software. What I need to do is present a proposal for a move to BIM software along with advanced rendering and post script software. I have used Revit over the past year. I have used Archicad before for a year as well. I know the basics of the BIM software. Can anyone direct me to some good articles, web sites, personal testimonies, existing proposals, etc. that I can add to my proposal to help sell the use of BIM software.
I am also looking for video files that I can save to my computer to use in a presentation DVD or Powerpoint. Are these out there somewhere? These videos should show the power of Revit or someone working on Revit creating architecture. I can splice some if needed.
I am also going to look for old posts on Revit vs. Archicad. I know they are out there, I have seen them but have never read them.
I need to really sell this point to the firm. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you

HERE (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=37226) is a thread that may be helpful. I used a lot of this information to not necessarily pitch BIM, but present pros/cons of Revit...

It's been stated here a few time, but it's always good advice. The best way to show BIM is to show a live demo. Draw a quick building in Revit in from of your audience and you'll have believers.

Great article - well said !
Sit down at home with ADT on a Saturday morning and try to figure out the display system. By 3-o'clock you will be really angry that you have been put in the position of trying to explain this stuff to your users.
Some statements, you just need to let them sit there, by themselves , on the page ....

Thank you very much. I believe that I have a good basis of information and quotations that will serve this proposal well.
Are there any type of images that are best suited for a proposal like this that anyone can think of? I am going to be adding some renderings and maybe even make a Powerpoint presentation or DVD that has images and videos on it. Does anyone know or have some good stuff they can give me?
thanks again.
