Wall Attachment to Extruded Roof

I can't seem to get interior or exterior walls to attach to a gambrel extruded roof. I have gotten around the problem by editing the profile, but was wondering if the wall attachment command works on roof by footprint only and not extruded roofs. Has anyone run into this before? Is there a option button I'm missing here?

If the extruded roof is a roof object it should work. Make sure you select all the walls and then on the options bar you have top of wall selected, then select the roof.

I have done some roof extrusions for odd pitched gables and had no problem with wall attachments. Only problem I had was with the facia not working right. Have you checked your settings for offset from top constraint? This may not be the problem but worth checking.

Hopefully someone will be along shortly that has done some gambrel extrusions.

On rare occasion I have had trouble just like this, although it typically was one "bad" wall. Once I re-made the wall and re-attached, it went away.
