We typically X-Ref our title blocks into each .dwg file. So all .dwg files are easily updated. We just now got 2005 version of Auto Cad. I want to know. Is there a way to X-Ref files when creating new sheets using the Sheet Manager? I see there is a way to specify a Template but Templates don’t automatically update when changes are made to them. (Or am I wrong about that?) Thank you for helping a rookie out.

Hi John

Please note that I have moved this thread from the AutoCAD General forum to this one. I believe it would be better suited here.

Thanks!

In your template file Xref the titleblock into it. Then when you create a sheet using the template the titleblock will be xrefed into it as well. Only problem is fields that are associated with the SSM will not work if part of the xref. They will need to be separately added into the template file.
