I'm trying to create a set of stairs like the one I've attached, but when I do I get this error message,"Stairs require no more than two boundaries (chains of one or more Boundary Lines)". I've circled the problem area. What am I doing wrong. Revit can produce stairs like this right?

Just a quick thought -
1st, make sure you are using the green boundary lines along the outside of the stair on both sides.
2nd, check the nosing length of your stair and make sure that at the inside corner where the stairs start to flair that you are accomodating the nosing length. I.e., you'll need an inch (assuming that is your nosing length) between the last riser in the "standard" part of the stair and the corner that starts the "flare".

I've been using the boundry, that's what is causing the problem. I technically have 3 green boundry lines, that's what is causing the error. But I don't know any other way to create a flared stair with only 2 boundries.

That's what I've tried to do but it won't created it for me. So I'm a bit lost.

Devin
Probably you have drawn a third boundery line on top of another.
Hide each piece of boundery line one by one and see what you get.

Well I think I figured it out. I had 2 riser lines touching at a corner. So I offset one of them an inch and it worked. Maybe a bug or something, Oh well, let's move on :-) Thanks for the help

Devin, is your nosing length for the stair 1"? If so, then you probably need the 1" offset from the corner to allow for the nosing.
If your boundary line has a gap or an overlap, you do not get a message telling you that you have a gap or an overlap, you get a message saying that "stairs require, etc." Make sure your boundary is continuous.

Nope, I have my noising set to 0. Of course now the stairs won't create the stringers.

How wide are your stringers? You may need to make sure that you have the width of the stringer between the riser lines at the inside corner you are create between the standard stair and the flare.
