To All;

I have tried to setup a label to identify the Alignment Name, I would like this label to be displayed under the alignment in plan view. I have set it under labels and it doesn't show up, I tried it under line and it still doesn't show up. When I set it up under major stations it shows up and is displayed under the line like I want it, the problem is that it is under "every" major station. That is too many labels, I was hoping for just a few. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Here's a couple options, you could do it as a "line" style, then use the add labels, single segment, and just put them in where you want them to appear.

A more "automatic" method is to use the major station label one, but give it a larger interval so it happens once every 1000 feet or so.

I just realized how long ago you posted, hopefully you've gotten a solution by now.

I did figure this out quite sometime ago. I have the label displaying every 300'.

I have a question about Alignment Label Styles. In Land Desktop one could place tick marks exactly where the station in question occured. I can't seem to find it in the styles for Civil 3D. We no longer have Land Desktop so I can't go back to check anything. Any Tips/Suggestions? Also of interest would be tips for the dragged state for the Alignment Labels. Thanks in advance.

Nevermind Thanks

The tick marks are components in your station labels.

In Toolspace, "Settings" tab, find Alignment->Label Styles->Station. In this section are Major and Minor Station label styles. Go into the label style of your choice, and create (or turn on) a "Tick" component. You do this on the "Layout" tab of the Label Style Composer.
