View Full Version : Custom Scale for Line Weights

A project that I'm currently on requires all plans to be at 1:150 scale (metric). I haven't found where one is able to add that scale as a column in the MODEL LINE WEIGHTS matrix... Is there a way that you can specify a custom view scale to use the settings of a different one? What is the default setting when you have a custom scale?
Any advice is appreciated!

Custom view scales can be created but the Model Line weights are set to the default scales available out of the box. Revit will use the values for the default scale closest to your custom scale.
Further to our discussion this afternoon (I'm only sitting four feet from you, after all!) a little experimenting seems to have revealed that when a plot is made at anything but full size Revit automatically scaled model line weights accordingly ie, if the plot is made at 50% reduction the lineweights are scaled down so they aren't too thick. Not sure if it's a 50% reduction, but it is a visible difference. Revit is clever enough to leave the annotation lineweights alone since they are set up as 'real world' 1:1 lines and shouldn't be scaled.
Can someone more in the know confirm that this is the default behaviour?

You've seen me in person Danielle. I figure with my 'classic Roman' nose I'm closer to Snoopy than the Red Baron.
