Is there an easy way to modify the Revit network deployment image once created or am I better off just starting from scratch? The Autodesk Deployment Wizard that I have used in the past to modify AutoCAD deployment images ( .msi files) doesn't seem to recognize the equivalent Revit files (which isn't too surprising).

Brian,
I think you have to. They don't have a network deployment manager like Autocad/ADT yet for Revit. What I've done is to keep the network deployment as simple as possible (no content installation, don't care about preferences), then use a BAT file to run the deployment then apply our firm's customizations (copy appropriate content + customized INI file).

Thanks James. I thought I might have to do something like that. The thing that keeps messing me up with each release or build is that on my workstation I have a stand-alone install, mostly for testing reasons before I release new upgrades to the masses. The only way I've been able to get to the network deployment install option is to uninstall/clear registry settings, begin network install with correct network paths for two different servers across our WAN. After all that is done, I reverse the process to go back to stand-alone mode. Maybe that's my new argument for a second workstation on my desk, then I can look busier then ever. :)

That's what I do. I have a separate workstation and tablet. Before I had a separate WS, I would just grab an open workstation and setup the deployment.
