View Range Issue

I am working on a building that has a full basement. On the first level there is a porte cochere with steep slopes on the outside of the structure where there will be a water feature. This water feature actually sits 4 ft below first level. I need for it to show on the first level plan but with the view range bottom set at 0' it does not show. If I change the bottom to -4' it shows fine on the first level plan...and so do the basement level walls below.

Is there a way around this?

Sounds like you need to get into using the Plan Region tool.
You will draw "regions" around your porte cochere elements and set view ranges separately for those.

There is a nice tutorial on it in the Revit Help files.
It's short and simple, and will change the way you view files in Revit.
