Has anyone upgraded a large project file to 9.0 yet? I was curious to hear if anyone had any issues with level heights, visibility of some model elements, such as columns, and the joining of walls. I have been having some problems with level heights reading incorrectly from Basement to 1st floor, and I also have been having problems with not being able to see columns in plan view, but able to see them in elevation and sectional views. I was curious as to whether or not these may have been issues when a large project file was upgraded from 8.1 to 9.0, since that is what I am dealing with.
If anyone could get back to me with any kind of an answer, or would be willing to discuss this, that would be great! Thanks.

We have also upgraded a 3 story medical office building. Not too many issues aside from the well known area issues. Pretty smooth transition.

The only problem we had was getting rooms to host on the correct levels. We have a very large split level residence and had to delete rooms and rehost them at the proper levels. We are still working on getting the rooms to show up when we need them so we can tag them properly.

Whilst I haven't experienced any problems as yet, at a recent User Group meeting one of members mentioned he had experienced a glitch with callouts/details. Details lost their scale (?). APAC support is looking into it.

Preface: I work as a "single-user" environment.
My only problem was that turning options on and off was very slow, but that problem disappeared after I purged un-used items (which of course were residing in their un-upgraded state).
Otherwise, no problems.

We also lost all of our section-detail callout heads. As it turns out we had them improperly setup in 8 but they worked. However when we upgraded all of the sections had no head or tail. When we looked into why it provided some insight into how we were setting up the sections in 8 and we have since corrected the problem.
We have not completed the 9 upgrade due to hardware issues but I expect we will soon.

Our model would simply crash and we could not open it. Sent it off to AutoDesk and they took about 3 days to get it to open properly. Don't know what they did--they did not tell us. It is working smoothly now, however.

We went smoothly except for some custom door types which ceased scheduling their associated rooms. Turns out we had some ref planes in the nested hardware families which were below the reference level. Apparently revit viewed these doors as not really in rooms because of the (well known and documented) change in area functionality. Moving those planes up and re-loading them resolved the problem.
