Need'n help with Stone fill (Model)

I have downloaded a "dressed field stone pattern into my model, but it shows up as solid black.
I'm not sure if its the scale, or what. I not worked with model patterns. Could someone offer some help. I am looking for a fieldstone pattern.

Try changing the import scale ...for instance when I imported this fieldstone pattern I changed the import scale to .5 because it was too big. If your pattern is too dark try enlarging the scale.

the import scale window is greyed out. It does not give me the option to change it.

Click on the name of the pattern in the box next to the import button. The scale option should become active.
