User Materials

I created some user defined materials in a Revit 8.1 project. We have since upgraded to Revit 9 and my user materials that I created in 8.1 are not available. I am unable to transfer project standards since they are different versions. How should I go about getting my user defined materials into version 9?

NEVER MIND. I WILL SIMPLY SAVE MY OLD DRAWING TO A NEWER VERSION & TRANSFER PROJ. STD'S.

Well, that didn't work. As soon as I updated the older drawing the user materials disappeared. Please Help!

You can copy the material library in the 8.1 folder and paste in 9 and you will have all your materials.
You can find this in
C:\Documents and settings\All users\Application data\Autodesk\Revit building 8.1\Rendering\Accurenderredist\Support.
It will have a *.mlib file. We have one for our office and one for each of the users.
