Tagging components in linked file

I have a large number of components in a linked file.
Can I tag those components in the parent file where the sheets are?
I need the tags to show up in the sheets.

Nope. Tag them in their own file, and then the tags will show up in the host file. Then place the view on the sheet from the host file.

It appears to be a little more involved than that.
They are tagged in their own file. But the tags arent showing up in the host file.

Is there something special to be done in the view properties for the link?
