Slab Edge Cut By Door

Okay, I did a search on
"Footing Cut" "Slab Edge" "Footing Door"
and didn't come up with a thread on why doors are cutting the slab edge.

How do you prevent the doors from cutting the slab edges?

not sure, but looks like its a parameter of that particular door. Edit the type, and if you can't find it there in the type parameters, edit the family, delete the sill and re-save it.

Is it a floor slab or footing you're referring to? It looks like it's a footing, and in that case it's because a footing needs a wall to attach itself to. You could extend the base of your wall below ground level, therefore allowing it to wrap underneath the door, or you could use a concrete wall as your foundation instead of a footing.

I raised the doors 1/128" and that did it. Thanks.

If you used 'Host Sweep'->'Floor Slab Edge' pick on the Slab Edge, and drag one (blue) end control of the Slab Edge to its control of the other side of the door. Both pieces will 'merge'.

Unfortunately if door moves you would most likely need to 'remake' the connection again.
