Hi there! We have a Revit architectural model linked to a Revit structural model. The building roof is (so far) entirely in the linked structural model and I can't attach walls to that. Is there any quick way to generate an architectural roof that follows the (complex, low-slope) structural roof? Or other ways that don't involve my manually fiddling with wall profiles?

Maybe create a reference plane that follows the line of the roof, and attach the wall to that?

The roof doesn't have a simple line; it's a US low-slope roof, with multiple ridges and variable slopes to provide drainage. Perhaps the best approach is to manually attach roof planes (or floor planes) to the structural roof. That's very un-Revit-like, though, and I am wondering if there's a better way.

When we work with architects now, we suggest that they model Roofs as Floor type elements. Hopefully it doesn't impact their work too much. We ask this because we can use Revit tools to Copy/Monitor Floors, but not Roofs. (Silly, isn't it?).
What you can try in the interim (as others have mentioned) is to create a reference plane which follows the roof. I believe you can align the reference planes to the roof.
