What is the best sketching method to create a floor whose edges will move with a wall if the wall moves?

when you are in sketch mode align the sketch line with a face of the wall and lock it. Rember not to over constrain your model, or you will get a lot of error messages later on.

That's the problem I'm having - I'm working with an odd shaped urban site, where the building is built up to the property line on each of the 8 property edges with none at right angles to each other. Therefore, the floorplate is an odd shape with a bunch of ins and outs, so locking an alignment to every wall wouldn't even let me finish the sketch without error messages.
The exterior walls shouldn't move after today, so I just won't sweat it on this project, which is fairly small anyway. I'll keep your tip in mind for the future if our office decides to use Revit after this pilot project.

Hi Guys
If I am understanding your question correctly all you need to do when drawing your floor lines is use the "pick wall" option and not sketch the floor out as lines.
Using "Pick Wall" the floor automatically moves with the walls that were picked.
Hope this helps
