View Full Version : Assembly Question

Hello, :)
I have been posting most questions in the class forum on points and surfaces, but I am past the points on this project and starting to build the assembly. How we build roads here in Kansas is a 6" sub grade that extends 12" past back of curb & gutter (type varies based on soil conditions, could be crushed rock, fly ash stabilized, etc.), then they lay a 2" base course of asphalt that extends 6" beyond the back of curb, then they pour the curb & gutter with a slip form machine on top of the 2" asphalt, then lay a 7" course of asphalt between curb & gutter, and then finally a 2" surface course of asphalt to the lip of the curb.
The closest I have got is to use the "UrbanCurb&Gutter" and change the dimensions to bring its sub grade up to look like the 2" of asphalt that extends under the curb & gutter. But then I can not find an assembly that is just sub grade to fill in the gap between where the lane ends, out to 12" beyond the back of curb. Does anyone have any ideas, or is there any place to get an assembly like this that someone else has made up? My understanding is that it is quite extensive to program an Assembly. I am using C3D 2006.
Thank you,

Daryl

P.S. Why does no one ever answer my posts on the AutoCAD discussion groups?:(
