Hello All,

In our office we have employees who work in Revit only and some in AutoCAD only. We are trying to find a way to be able to bring the Revit files into CAD but showing only the cores of the walls (not all the finish, substrate, etc details).
Is this possible?
In the import/export settings I am changing my finishes and substrates to a layer called "finish" hoping that when I bring it into AutoCAD I will be able to shut this layer off. This is not working? Should this work? Or is there an easier way?

Thanks,

Christine

You need to set up your layer exports for each wall function to be on diff. layers, then in the view you plan to export, click VV and check teh box for overide host layers

I am not quite sure what you mean by "w".

Here are the steps I've been doing:

File
Import/Export Settings
Export Layers DWG

Then I change all my wall details to be under one layer, instead of IWALL and AWALL I type in Finish so that when I go into AutoCAD all the wall details will be under the one layer an I could turn it off. The only problem is, when I go into CAD that layer is not there.

Hope this clarifies my question.
