Building on an imported surface

I have imported a contoured surface from AutoCAD, i just cant get the walls to attach at the base to the surface. is there a setting which tells the walls to build from the surface level?

No.

You cannot attach to a topo surface at this time, just levels, floors, roofs, walls. I haven't tried this yet, but you might be able to create a wall using the railing tool and setting the topo surface as a host and it should follow the contours. I should try this now too.
