"Keep readable" doesn't seem to work if you've created a label in a generic annotation family and loaded it into a project. When you rotate the family, the text follow the rotation angle...

Can anyone confirm?

I assume that you can't have a label always show up horizontal, right?

I found the keep readable...

I was looking at the text's properties, not under Family Catagories and Parameters.

Any takers on keep horizontal??

I created a tag to show where photos were taken on an existing layout, so they point all over the place on plan. I want the text to stay readable, ie horizontal.

I did a search and dug this out since it is something I need an answer to. Does anybody have a solution or a pointer as to what I am missing, or indeed confirmation that it can't be done?

I ticked the "keep readable" box in the family editor incidentally.

Um, I think I just answered my own question. The "keep readable" tickbox when you create the tag parameter text is a bit of a re herring. There is another one when you define the family type in Setting - Family Catagory and Parameters...

This is the one that makes the difference! It doesn't keep the text horizontal, but does stop it from being upside down. Which is neato!

Big ups me!

Thanks gbrowne, the second tick box got me as well, I don't understand why there are 2 boxes, how annoying.
Thanks.
