In order to achieve a goal for a secondary project, we need to be able to extract text from pdfs that are created from ACAD dwg (via BlueBeam). From everything that I can find, this should be possible as long as 1) the width factor of the text is at 1.0, and 2) the font used is a true type font.

In the past, we used true type fonts, but for some reason we switched. Right now, we use no true type fonts.

Has anyone had any problems using true type fonts exclusively?

Is there any way around the 1.0 width factor?

Hi

Please note I have *moved* this thread from the CAD Standards (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=264) forum to this one, as I feel this particular forum is a more appropriate place for such a topic.

Thanks, Mike

1. What happens if you set the Text Style Width factor within AutoCAD to the value you want ?

2. True Type fonts within AutoCAD work fine for me.

Have a good one, Mike
