does anyone have this problem? I am working on an older project and brought it into 9.(BIG MISTAKE) I can't add a room tag and the old room tags lost all the finish parameter so i can't edit the finish in the tag but i can in the schedule meaning the information is there. I started a drawing from scratch in 9 to test the room tags and it won't let me do it. No error message nothing. It is just as if the command does not exist. It is very frustrating and I don't know what to do about it. PLEASE HELP

Right click on the Design Bar and Check "Rooms and Areas" to activate a new toolbar. There you will find a "Room" tool. Rooms are now objects in Revit 9.0. Place a Room in your model, and then it should automatically tag.

I have not tried this on older jobs, but i have found if you just add a room tag to an area that does not have a room added to it yet, the tag will not show. (ie drafting tab -> add room tag wont work if you have not gone and done basic - > room).
Does this makes sense? Does this help?

Thanks guys. Yep I figured it out. I just started using 9 and didn't know about the room thingi but the tag still does not have the room finish parameters. Where did that go?

Its part of the Room object now, not the tag.
