I am trying to set up worksets in a 12 unit condo project. I understand the basics of worksets - I've learned how to create a new workset, control visibility, open selectively, and move objects into different worksets with no problem.
I have now come across a stumbling block. There are three unit types in the project, with each unit type set up as a group. I wanted to place the units on a separate workset. Four of the 12 units are on the default workset, and I had no problems moving them over. However, the remaining units are on a workset "View "Floor Plan: Level 4."" I did not do the initial work on the project, so I'm not entirely sure how the groups were placed, but is it best to leave them on a view workset, or is it possible to move them?
Thank you for your help.

ummm... model objects should never be on a view workset, only user-created model worksets. I don't know how they could have been placed on there.

Your best bet might be to set the active workset to the one you want the units to end up on, then select and cut, then copy back into the same place. At that point the objects should be on your current active workset.

Thanks, that worked just fine. It's seems like I've done a lot of cut-paste to fix various other problems. I still wish I knew how the groups ended up on a view workset in the first place.
