Just came across a strange phenom. I went to plot a sheet which has one view on it plus one set of general notes.
On previewing, everything looked copacetic.
When I plotted it out, though, all the notes in the viewport were lost. This could have been a disaster if I had not cught it when I put the set together, since the drawings were permit drawings.
Why would notes disappear off the plot when they are visible in the preview drawing?

That's a bit odd. I do know from the factory that you can't always trust what print preview shows. Preview might show that text is spilling off the page, but when printed, it fits or vice versa. Were your notes created on the sheet or in a drafting view placed on the sheet?

Since I am not familiar with the software you are using, I am just taking a stab in the dark, but could they be on a non-printing layer?

The notes were created in a drafting view (roof framing plan) and then placed on the sheet.
The general notes (which printed just fine) were inserted as an annotation symbol.

The drawing itself was not very complex. Could it possibly be a plotter issue??

Thats certainly possible.

If that is the case, it could be printer memory thats causing drop outs.

Try setting the printer to use the computer memory if you can.
