Does anyone have any workbooks or drawing assignments that would be helpful to a high school drafting program?
I use AutoCAD LT 2000i.

Hi terrybriley

Please note I've *moved* this Topic (Thread) from the New Users Forum (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=47) to this one as I believe it would be better served here.

Thanks, Mike

Hi

Below comes from an old ACAD Guild post by Art Kidd -

<snip>
I would like to thank all who responded and have given some very good advice and links. I would especially like to thank Kenneth P. for his very welcome attachment. You have all been superb.

Here is a listing of links that I received. Some of them are free tutorials and lesson plans. Some are not free. But, they are all well worth looking at.

Again, Thank you very much,

Art

A lot of these might be basic for the crowd here, but for training others, it will be a great resource. I have just finished updating my site for 2007 from 2005 (which is still availabe online). 46 tutorials from the basics to 3D.

myCADsite.com (http://www.we-r-here.com/cad/index.htm)

Also, any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Looks like a great site. Thanks for sharing. I think lots of folks can make use of it, since we have members of all usage levels.

I would give out a really tough assignment and do not give away the "how to do it" aspect.
This will prompt the cad trainee to play around more.

Class assignments can sometimes create a robotic response where the student
mearly regenerates the drawings shown by the teacher.

Allow the cad trainee to explore a little. You can always give extra credit to the students that figure it out and not count it for everyone else.

I learned more CAD features from exploring versus any assingment/response driven drawings.
