I am trying to figure out the best way to take out a existing window from the wall keep the opening and enlarge it for egress requirements.
I want to perform these steps with the results as shown.
First, create a existing plan with general dimension for the code reviewers reference.
Second, create a demo plan that shows the window demo'd and the opening remaining with lower portion of the opening getting further demolition to remove the lower portion for the correct egress window sill height.
Third, create a new construction plan showing the new window.
Since demo'g the window will remove the window AND fill the opening in one step, filling a opening is not want we what want to show on the demo plan. That would be reserved the construction plan with bold lines. How is everyone handling window and door demolition this with renovations work?
