Hello,

I'm thinking about writing a small (free) program that will be able to read info from a txt file containing the info from the titleblock and be able to view the thumbnail of any version of dwg file.
So I'm gathering info.

At the moment I'm using the great (free) program Columbus 2.4b. I don't have the money to buy the new one with support for network connection and acad2006. I've managed to keep the functionality of the program by saving the dwg as acad2000 and using a routine to extract the info.
Maybe someone knows a similar program.

Do you mean a program like this?

Actually I need a program that can show me
1) the thumbnail saved in the dwg (without making a copy as bitmap)
2) and the information from the title block

For the 2) I already know a solution but I don't know how to solved the 1).
