Is there a way of displaying, on the different sheet tabs at the bottom of an open drawing, the same drawing but with different layers turned on and off. when I turn layers on or off in one tab, when i go to another tab, the layers displayed are the same as the previous one. I want it to remember which layers were turned off and on.

Can anyone help?

Please note I have *moved* this thread from the New Forum Users (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=47) Forum to this one as I believe it would be better served here.

Below snippet is from the small print on the Forum General (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=44) page -

Within each layout, you can set the visibility state of each layer using either the command line "VPLAYER" command or you can scroll your layer manager to the right and see two columns ("Current VP Freeze" and "New VP Freeze"). You can also use the "Layer Freeze" command from Express Tools, if using 2006 or older versions, within a Viewport. I believe that command is a native AutoCAD command in the 2007 version.

you might also be able to use a view for each layout with the layers you want turned on and off (then update layers under the view command if you need to change them)

Did this replace the Layer manager from the Older versions?

No. It only show the "Current VP Freeze" and "New VP Freeze" in a layout. When you are within the Model Space, those options are not available.

You could also just create layer views to do the job, that way you only have to retore the view you require.
