Dear Sir,
i am having a prblem in extruding a face. I have attached a file where i have colored the face to be extruded as pink. It is a conical face.
The error message i get is as under.
"Non-planar faces cannot be extruded and are ignored for this operation."
Please advice how to do this.

That says it all, really.
What, exactly, do you want to do?
Make the whole thing deeper or change the cone angle or increase the diameter or what?

Hi,
If you want to add thickness
You can use this method
1st - Home tab / Solid editing panel /
click on little arrow at right of Extrude Faces and select Copy Faces
Select the conical face and select a base point
2nd - place a copy
3rd - Home tab / Solid Editing panel /
Thicken
Select a copy of conical face and give thickness
(positive value above or negative value beyond of face)
But if you want to keep vertical a side you dont have a choice, you have to create profile and resolve it
have a nice day
