We have a multi-discipline workflow here and need to share new information often. For example, the architects would like to be able to note on the plans some changes that would be conveyed to our MEP group. We would like to be able cloud and note the changes before exporting to AutoCAD files.
Is there a way to create no-plot clouds and text when exported to AutoCAD from Revit?

We always keep duplicate views set upfor export as MEP/Struct backgrounds. This way only the information they need is exported and they don't have to manage layers. We of course make the full architectural plan available for information as dwg and/or pdf.

Hey Jason!
Well, unfortunately you cannot create no-plot layers from Revit. All text would go out to a layer that you assign in your export settings, so all text would be there and you'd have to go to each dwg and selectively figure out which text you don't want plotted and assign it to a non-plot layer manually in ADT/Acad.
You might create an empty drafting view and place it on a sheet, then activate the drafting view and annotate what you don't want plotted there. When you're ready to export, remove this view from the sheet and export them separately. Now you have a "layer" of info. that can be overlayed in Acad and then deleted when the changes are made. Alternatively, you might consider using DWF mark-up sets (we never used them so I can't help you there).
Hope this helps.
