I like the keynoting feature of 9. It's not perfect, but it's flexible. My only difficulty is in how to deal with keynoting wall assemblies. We have our wall type legends but in addition we have always keynoted parts of the assemblies in wall sections. We would keynote the metal stud framing, the gyp board and the EIFS. Seems problematic now because I can only use one keynote for a wall. There doesn't seem to be a way to keynote the various components that make up the assembly.

Anybody else do things this way and if so, how are you handling it?

have you tried keynoting by material?
When you create a wall style and assign a material to each element... look at the properties of the material and set which keynote you want on the identity tab.

then... Keynote >>> material. Pick location for the end of the leader, pick point for the 'bend' in the leader then pick point for text location.

Try moving the end leader to a different part of the wall and watch the keynote update. Definitely a 'wow' function.

Now that is VERY cool.

Thanks.
