Room Schedule Area Calc

I must be having a brain cramp! I am trying to get a simple Schedule to total the area by Occupancy

How do I do this?

Go to schedule properties. Under the Sorting/Grouping tab, sort by occupancy.

Under the formatting tab, select the area parameter, & then check the "calculate totals" check box.

I did that and all of the Occupancy area come in blank except one of them. OOPS!!! I really need to follow directions better!
