Columns close to Walls

Hi

Revit 9.0 ~ When placing a column 100 diam close to a wall it decides to disappear I get message saying Col is completely inside wall when it isn't

Any Clues?

from another post try this:

"go to Family Category and Parameters under the Settings menu, there's a check box for whether or not it joins to walls automatically. You can turn that off, and then if you want it to take on the wall's properties for some instances you can just join geometry"

that might do it...
