View Full Version : Converting an AutoCAD mesh to a Revit curtain system

1. Use a script to create the wall as a mesh in AutoCAD. You will need a script, or else plan on a big data-entry job.

2. Use the AutoCAD "REGION" command to convert the mesh to regions. This step is significant because Revit will only attach a curtain system to ACIS objects, and a generic mesh doesn't qualify.

3. Save the file.

4. In Revit, create a generic model object. Import the saved AutoCAD file to it and finish it.

5. Create the curtain system by face.

The curtain system will be made up of many individual faces, unfortunately. It's not clear to me how to work around this.
