I am doing an area plan it's a hotel project so it has many rooms per level, i need an overall area per floor and also an area per unit per floor (rooms, stairs, etc...) is there a way to do a room or tag in the same view that shows both without duplicating the rooms ar areas...or do i need to create a duplicate view to do it separately ??/

Please help...thanks

You'll want to use an Area Plan for this and for when you need a bit more control or specificity of what Revit uses to calculate the area. In a Floor Plan view all Areas are calculated the same way.

Create a Gross Building Area plan as well as a Rentable Area plan.
Adjust your area boundaries in each.
Turn off everything BUT the Area tag in the Gross plan.
Overlay the two views on a single sheet.
