Despite my advice and hatred of this brick method a Client wants to use a dogtooth brick course
(dogtooth ~ bricks at 45 deg on plan slight projection foward of main wall face)
At moment I'll just do a sweep & annotate but as a matter of interest what is the best way of doing this

I'd probably do it the same way you are suggesting Roger. You might want to create a material that has the 45deg pattern on it so you can have it display correctly in hidden line and rendered views.

(Doh I wonder how long that would have taken me to think of on my own)

or model it using the railing command? I remember reading a thread a while back where that was suggested to do that for corbels. I never actually tried it but it seemed like a great idea as you get so much control.
