Sheet Set Manger - Refresh problem with AutoCAD 2007

SSM contains 150dwgs - is it too many? When I tried to use SSM, at each step whatever I do ACAD is not responding for 5~10 sec. If I close SSM, it's not halted . When I click the refresh icon in SSM, it takes same amount of time(5~10 sec), so I assume it keeps refreshing every minute. I didn't have this problem w/ 2005.

Can I turn off that automatic refreshing function? or delay the frequency? Or just I got too many files? TIA.

Recently saw a similar issue here. Use Process Monitor (https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/processmonitor.aspx) to see what is happening in the background for those 5~10 seconds.

In our case, AutoCAD was traversing other .dst files, and many different paths out on our network due to the way certain fields were linked. All this searching for, and retrieving of, this data took many seconds.
Even hovering over a sheet caused a delay.
