Hi all,
I have a corrupted file which I copied & pasted into a new file and everything's working OK. My only problem now is re creating all the sheets - is there an easy way out or do I have to start from scratch? Thanks.

Detail sheets can be quickly transferred across however others will need to be recreated...

Mr Spot,

How do I transfer detail sheets across projects? I know I can transfer project info & project parameters & other standards...

use...
File ... save to library... save views

then in your new drawing

file ... insert from file... views

Hi Roy,
I'm on R 8.1 and I don't have the option to save views as you suggested, only save family or save group.. Thanks

This works really nice...
I just did the save view for a whole sheet of detail views and
was able to load all the detail views and the sheet into another
project. Just make sure you don't already have a sheet with same
name and number. Will be a real timesaver as long as detail views
are accurate so errors don't get carried over project to project.

Hi Leslie,

Is it Revit 9 you're talking about? I 'm using 8.1 and I can't find anything that'll save views.

When you say corrupted file, what do you mean? I think you should send that file to support, not try to create a new file. While I've had various problems with revit files, they've always been solvable by support. What you are trying to do "wblock" your model is probably ok, but like you have found you need to recreate a lot of work which you maybe able to avoid by simply sending revit your file.
