Is it possible to measure something in a 3d view.
For instance , I want to know the length of a sloped wall sides, I can't do that
on plan / section views as they are not true lenghts there.
thanks for any suggestion in advance

In the 3D view if you edit the wall's profile (if I'm understanding your needs correctly) you can highlight the sloped portion and under the properties it will show the length value. Let me know if I'm misunderstanding you.

Hi,
thanks for your answer. It's surely one of practical ways to get
the length info.
However, I just put measuring sloped wall as an example.
The fact is that when you are working in 3d view,
the temporary dimension tool greyed out, so I cannot measure
anything I want easily.
Is there some tricks to make measuring possible ?

Cheuk,
If this is something you want to do on a regular basis I'd post the idea (along with benefits of usage) in the wishlist forum. If you want you can add voting features so you can see what other users think of the idea as well.
I do not know of any way to permit the measuring tool while in 3D views.

If you change the workplane to the face of the wall you can place a dimension to measure it. You should be able to measure it accurately in elevation too?

Very Great!! Steve.
Thank you very much.
That's what I hope to get.
