Imported DWG layer visibility

If I have the same DWG site plan linked into 2 different files, I don't suppose there's any quick and easy way to make layer settings in one of the imported instances match the layer settings in the other file, is there?

Could you transfer project standards for view templates?

yes... so I would have to create a view template in the one project and then transfer the templates over and apply it to the view in the other project?

Yep - this is a good idea if you have to turn on/off like 30 autocad files or deal with really complex autocad layers turned on/off, but if it's just like 2 or 3, you might just want to just uncheck it in both files, that would probably be faster.
