I'm importing some ACAD details into drafting views for a project and I want to modify the look of the block but I have not been able to. Has anyone tried to do this or does anyone know why I might not be able to? It seems to behave differently than the section view annotations? I'm including an image of the section cut I want to emulate and the drafting view callout.
Thanks!

1. Right Click properties on the Drafting View: Detail Mark
2. Hit Edit / New... to bring up the Type Properties for this Family
3. Change Section Tag Parameter to the appropriate value (Section Head - Filled, Section Tail - Filled appears to be the one you are looking for)
I would also recommend leaving the Reference Label Blank and typing dumb text next to the mark for TYP, SIM, OPP HAND and so on, since you can only choose one at the moment.
If you want to create your own combinations to select from for step 3 you will need to do this in the Settings -> View Tags -> Section Tags ... Dialog.
Does this do what you are after?

That works but with the building section at step 2 I can also hit duplicate to create a new version and not modify the original. I can also do this when referencing a drafting view but I can't actually modify it after it's placed like I can with the building section cut?
It's showing the way I want now but I still kind of wish these didn't have to be system families.....
Thanks for the reply Paul! Have a good 4th - I'm going home now ....

Yeah, for some reason they only allow you one type for the Drafting View System Family even though it allows you to duplicate it and adjust the new type's parameters. I initially set several of them up with different reference labels but only the one would work.
Happy 4th to you as well.
