The Project Freewheel viewer lets you be free of software installs, is provided for free, and allows people to author their own web sites with DWF independent of Microsoft-specific ActiveX controls. Want to view a DWF file, but don’t want to install viewer software? Want to view a DWF file on: a Mac, a PDA, a Cell Phone, Linux, or in Firefox? Would you like to embed a DWF in your own web page (HTML) and not require visitors to install anything? If so, then the Project Freewheel Technology Preview is for you. This is both a web site where you can enter an URL to a DWF file and view it interactively and a web service that allows you to embed an interactive DWF viewer in your own HTML pages.

Hi Scott
Would it be possible for yourself to validate or not the following...
There’s a Redlining Easter Egg in Autodesk DWFit (http://aecnews.com/news/2006/08/25/1968.aspx)
Either I am doing something wrong ( most likely ) or it does not in fact work.
Tested in:
Firefox 1.5.0.6
IE 7 RC1

The redlining works for me! Newest version of firefox, just let the dwf load then click in the lower right corner, doesn't work all that great but it's a start!

Redlining is under development. It's hidden in there in pseudo Easter Egg form, because it is not ready yet. Having it in there allows us to test it in its live environment. Hiding it prevents premature exposure for something that is in the conceptual stage. At this point in its development, I am opposed to the laying down of rules or conditions to be observed in the redlining of DWF files via Freewheel lest the progress of improvement tomorrow might be embarrassed or shackled by recording or registering as law the prejudices or errors of today. :-)

1.5.0.6..............Hi
Thank you :)
I guess it just does not work at my end, for whatever reason...
Regarding the 5 default tool icons in the top left corner - within Firefox are tool-tips displayed for yourself ?
Have a good one, Mike

Hi Scott
How about Tool-tips for Firefox users ?
Probably best if I do not mention Opera... have you looked at http://dwfit.com/index.aspx from within Opera ?
Have a good one, Mike

With regard to Opera:
Only Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 and Mozilla Firefox 1.5 are supported at this time. Safari support is nearly complete: try it, but your mileage may vary. Other browsers are planned for future releases.
Only the 2D content in DWF files is currently supported.
In terms of tool tips for Firefox, the best way to make your wishes known is to send an email to Labs.DWF_ZeroClient@autodesk.com - those emails go directly to the developers. People read each one.
