I just thought I'd ask to see what response I'd get as I'm undecided as to what would be the best way to tackle this, the client has asked for along with the GA plans a structural setting-out drawing (see attached image). I want to be able to show the finishes on the GA plans and not on the setting-out drawing, now give the time I'd love to have a crack at this using curtain walls. I've been playing about with curtain walls (as discussed in earlier threads) for just this type of situation, see attached image 2 & 3, this is the same curtain wall except image 3 is with the curtain panels switched off. This would be perfect for what I'm trying to achieve, great for cutting sections and plan representation of the studs but as I said I've got a time issue and I've not played about with this enough to know if there are any problems that this method might cause.
Another options that I'm considering is using standard walls but with the finishes as a separate wall layer on a workset or phase so they can be switched on and off easily.
I was wondering what other people would do in this situation or if they have a simpler suggestion.
Regards, Paul.
