Stair Issues

I'm having trouble with some stairs in a room plan. About half of the stairs do not have the cut off mark where the cut plane is. I was wondering if anyone knew of any quick fixes or knows why this is happening?

Is this a split level lower and upper floor configuration. Checked the View Range?

You may need to describe in more detail your floor plans and may be post some images.

It is an entertainment venue/area in a casino, with approx. 7 sets of stairs, and I've tried messing with the view range and all it did was move the break line on the stairs that had it up and down.

Check to see if there are openings above the stairs. I never experienced it, but I've read somewhere a short while back that this could be causing the problem.
