I face a problem in printing a drawing after I insert a text copied from a word document. Portion of the text is Arabic typed right to left and portion of the text is English typed left to right. I enabled my Windows XP to Arabic first. Then I inserted the text in the drawing. I can see the text properly inserted in the drawing as appearing in the word document. But when printed it is not recognisable as an Arabic text as each charecter seems to be mirrored and lost its order also. Can any one throw light on this? Please.

Hi
Does the Word Document print correctly?
What device are you Plotting from within AutoCAD?
Have you tried Plotting to another device from within AutoCAD?
How is the plotting device within AutoCAD set-up, Windows Driver or Heidi Driver?
I assume the "Arabic" font is a true-type font; if yes, have you correctly installed/registered this true-type font within Windows?
When you open this drawing file within AutoCAD do you see any messages regarding "Missing Fonts/Font Substitution/Missing NLS file" etc?
Have a good one, Mike

Hi,
I had the exact problem and resolved it by following these steps:
The issue w/the Arabic font is that it previews correctly, but would not print from AutoCAD.
No matter how it was printed (pdf, dwf, direct etc) it would always preview correct on screen but the characters didn't match the hardcopy.
The solution has two parts (WinXP PRO)
1.) Close all programs
Go to Control panel| Regional and language settings
Languages tab
Select "install files for complex script and right to left languages (including Thai)
Requires a reboot
Step 2
In AutoCAD, make a new pc3 by modifying how True Type Text is handled (change to "True Type as text")
I hope this helps
