View Full Version : Visibility of Metric Generic Model

Did some come along the fact, that a generic model shows in plans section and views (made with camera, but not in 3 d-view generated by 3-d bottom on menu?
The funny thing is, that the model shows in the view, when inserted in 3 d-view. That model appears then everywhere else also.

When I copy the model inserted in 3 d-view in the view itself, it is there also visible. But if I copy that particular model in the floor plan, then it is again not shown in 3 d-view, but in all other places.

Any idea??

The same models show correct in a new project in version 6.1

Check the visibility settings of the generic model family.

This may sound like a stupid question but is the visibility of generic models turned on in the 3d view you are trying to view them in? ;)

All the visibility options were on. As mentioned, the model showed when inserted in 3 d-view.

In the meantime, I exported the floor plan in question (roof), deleted the original roof plan and then copied that plan back into the project.
In addition I dleleted the 3-d view and rgenerated a new one.

Now all is shown correctly (at least for the time being)

Happy that it works, but still wondering what the issue was?

Sounds like a corrupt file.

You could send to support to confirm.
