Rant: Revit Update Install

So far 3 out of the 3 computers in the office that I've attempted to run the Revit building Series 9 update (newest build) have all had different issues. One of which completely failed to install. What's the deal here?

2 of the 3 say that they can't download the content .cab libraries because the server returns an 'error 404: not found' code. and 1 of those 2 had to run the install 3 times before it actually installed the updated revit.

Is there an updater for the updater install to work the bugs out of the udpater install?

I've contacted my service rep and they've said this is not an uncommoon problem and there is no known way to fix it.. just keep trying till it works. Are you guys at AD trying to make us go insane?

I have 4 workstations left to attempt updating.. any advice before I have another go at it?

For installation, make sure you run as admin and that antivirus are turned off.

*smacks forhead* Didn't think about antivirus. That was probably it though.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind for the next few installs.
