Three of us are working on an "inherited" project in R9 (started in R 8 ). Worksets are enabled, but are set to have all access by anyone. There is also phasing in this project.

This morning, one of us noticed that all, yes ALL, the existing walls are gone.
Any idea what happened?

Can't seem to give "help' the correct keywords to learn about rollback. Any help?

Thanks

TC

Have you opened a 3D View and changed phase filter to None so that all elements will display to verify that they are in fact gone?

Yes, that is in fact the first thing we tried. Then we made sure phasing for view was correct, visibilty turned on for everything, then went in to full scale panic, which is where we still are.....

One of our guys did a seat-of-the-pants rollbackon the version from yesterday evening, and it doesn't have the walls in it either.

Are we hosed or what?

Are all teh exist. walls on the same workset? If so is that workset closed? Did someone edit a phase overide to not display(if so they would not display regardless of other settings)

This kind of problem can be created by someone deleting a Active workset which is assigned the existing element portion of a project and not moving THE elements to another workset instead.
However, I hoped that this is not what happened in your case.

I don't believe this is a phase specific issue. I had a worksets enabled project in 9, only with new construction, with the same issue. On deadline day I noticed three of my walls had similarly disappeared. Not knowing when this had occured I went and checked PDFs I had made the day before for a check set. Everything was there. So I thought I had narrowed the time down to rollback the project. I tried rolling it back to a save time earlier than the plot time from the day before. Yet upon completion of rollback, the walls failed to reappear. I tried to recover them on three separate user's files to no avail. Since it was three walls I said forget about it, and redrew them. But losing these walls rather than an entire phase is certainly not of the same severity.

I say send your file off to support immediately! Let them figure out what's going on and try to recover anything that is now lost.

I have had the same problem as Doug above. I found the problem was caused (I presumed) by a plan region that overlapped new and existing walls. Deleted the plan region or stretched it - can't remember which, and the walls reappeared. They were always there in 3d views, but never in the orthagonal views. Strange.
