I have read a number of threads concerning difficulty in placing reveals etc., in stacked walls and walls that need to be split to accomplish diff. materials within the same wall. I have made a nice little V-reveal family for stucco.

I want to head off any problems or complications.....should I split the wall where I want to see my material and or finish changes etc. before I apply the stucco reveal or would this not make a difference.

Also, for stucco joints etc., is everyone else using a similar method to accomplish this....maybe someone could post an example?

thanks

Josh

No, I don't think it is worth the time for CD's.

I just place a model line on the surface of the stucco. Very quick and never issues all sort of "Can't cut.." warnings.

Thanks. I started using the model line and it works great! Probably saved me a day worth of frustration and no work!

Make a detail component that is a filled region with solid lines where it cuts the stucco, then invisible lines outside the wall so you can clean up you wall sections quickly to show the reveals.
